Era thokku /Prawn thokku is my favourite since I tasted this in my friend's home during my school days...Her mom is an expert in non veg dishes(in veg too..)..I saw this recipe here and tried and it came out sooo good...We all liked it a lot....Goes well with rice as side dish...also with pulavs and chapathis....Spicy and tangy era thokku is easy to prepare too...Here's the recipe...
Ingredients
Ingredient | Measurement |
Shrimp(cleaned) | 1/2 cup |
Lemon juice | 1/2 tblsp |
Turmeric powder | 1 pinch |
Chilli powder | 1 tblsp |
Salt | as needed |
Garlic | 4 pods |
Onion | 1 medium |
Tomato | 1 medium |
Curry leaves | 1 sprig |
Mustard | 1 tsp |
Cumin seeds | 1 tsp |
Oil | 1 tblsp |
Method
Clean shrimp well and marinate it with lemon juice, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt...Let it stand for atleast half an hour and upto 2or 3 hours...
