Hyderabadi style mutton dum biriyani..I have tasted this in hotels..but haven't tried in home..but i found this recipe quiet easier...sure it takes lot of time than the usual biriyani...but not much work as the usual biriyani's...just we have to plan head and marinate things..and have to wait a bit more time..but it's surely worth the wait...

Fruit Cake
Fruit cake is my mom's favourite type of cake...I have made it a couple of times...every time with the ingredients i have at hand at that time...one time without egg(for mom) added a banana instead of egg...every time it came out good..This is Alton Brown's recipe..You can find it here...You can add

Simple bread (without egg)
I wanted to try baking bread at home, since my lil.one started eating them...At least we know what's in that, when we prepare at home...After we tasted it,it really worth the try for us too..Freshly baked bread, i have never eaten before...It has a such a smell and taste..and so soft...Also i made panini with the freshly baked bread..it was wonderful..The ingredients and process of this recipe is very simple...Do try this and you will find the difference...

Cilantro chutney/ Kothamalli Thogayal/ Side dish for Idly Dosa
Cilantro chutney, which i present here is our home style preparation...Mom,MIL both make this chutney...It has a bit of sweet and hot flavour...It can also be prepared without adding jaggery...That way also it taste good...But adding a pinch of jaggery surely enhances the taste...We like it a little bit sweet too..hence i added 1/8 cup jaggery...Try this and enjoy...

Peerkangai muttai...This dish i prepare on holidays only...These have to be prepared and eaten steaming hot...That way it tastes very good...This is a nice side dish for rice..and it goes well with chappathis too...A friend in my college days used to bring this combination with chappathi...and her box will become empty quickly...We all liked it so much...here's the recipe...give it a try...

This is our home style of making white kurma...This is a nice side dish for chappathi...It's easy to do and u can add the veggies u have at hand...I added carrot,potato and beans...We can add cauliflower,green peas,different colour capsicum etc...I didn't add tomatoes in this...If u want you can add at the end and give it a boil...it shouldn't become mushy...will add more colour to the kurma...here's the recipe...

Milagu kozhi varuval ...I saw this recipe in a cookbook which my mom gave me...It can be prepared in some 10 to 15 minutes...and the process seemed easier to me...I tried it and it's very nice...We like it a little bit spicier side, but u can reduce the spices if u want...Goes well with any mild pulav and very nice with rasam sadham or curd rice...

Paal Kozhukattai/Rice balls in coconut milk sauce
Paal kozhukattai is the one which my mom likes so much...So my grandma used to make it for her often...Still remember, when we come from school,my grandma bringing this dish...Usually they make it this way...sometimes in brown colour, adding jaggery and shredded coconut(instead of sugar and coconut milk)...They also add dried ginger(sukku) in that...Will post that version soon...

Mutton Kuzhambu/Mutton Gravy with potatoes
This mutton kuzhzmbu with potatoes is vahchef's recipe.I have changed it slightly according to our taste..It is basically a bengali dish...so he used mustard oil...but i used vegetable oil...he did stove top slow cooking and i used pressure cooker...I tried it for first time and it came out very well...from then i am following this recipe for mutton curry...once i tried it without potatoes also...it was equally good...but with potatoes it taste fantastic...

Fish Curry/Meen Kuzhambu (kerala style)
This fish curry was taught to me by my friend Deepa akka...She is from Nagerkoil...and they make fish curry there almost in daily basis...In this fish curry,we use gingelly oil, but there she use to say...they just mix everything in water and boil in earthen pot...the natural fat rendered by fish itself is used...and the taste will be very nice that way...Let's see the recipe...
