Carrot Cake / 2 shaped cake


It's my boy's second birthday....So I decided to make a cake in two shape...I have baked cakes many times...but with frosting i have done only 2 or 3 times...So i have tried this time and achieved a decent look i think...Pardon me if it's not much professional looking and i'm still an amateur in this field...We gave it as a surprise to him at 12'o  clock and he loved it...He's telling numbers now a days and as soon as he saw it he yelled "two two"...So it looks like two...that's enough i think...

Tindora/Kovakkai...This veggie i have eaten only once before marriage...A friend brought this for lunch...After i started cooking, i'm preparing this often here...It's easy and simple to prepare with less ingredients...I don't add onion in this recipe..If u want u can add after tempering...Without onion, itself it tastes good...Try and enjoy this healthy veggie...

Peerkangai Chutney/Ridge Gourd Chutney/ Side dish for Idly Dosa

In search for the different (slightly sweet actually for my lil.one) subjis for chappathis, I found this recipe in a cookbook...I tried it for today's dinner and it came out well...It was very tasty and everyone liked it...Hing is a important ingredient in this recipe,since we are adding peanuts...Also brown sugar / jaggery also nullify the effects of peanuts...Give it a try if you are bored of usual kurmas...sure you will like it...Try and enjoy with hot chappathis...
