Pattani Sundal


As Navaratri festival begins today, sundals will be made for pooja everyday...One among the easy sundal varieties is this peanut sundal,yet a very tasty and healthy one..Do give a try and enjoy...


Ingredients

Dry Green Peas/
Pachai Pattani
1/2 cup
Coconut slices4
Mustard1/2 tsp
Urad dal1/2 tsp
Curry leaves1sprig
Dry red chilli1 or 2
Oil1 tsp
saltas needed

Method

Saok dry Green Peas/ Pachai Pattani overnight in water..Drain the water and pressure cook for 5 whistles adding fresh water and salt..Grind coarsely the coconut, red chilli ..

In a pan, heat some oil and temper with mustard, urad dal and curry leaves...Add the ground coconut paste to it and fry for  2 minutes..

Add the boiled green peas/ pachai pattani and fry for a minute...Switch off the flame and transfer to serving dish..
