Paasi Payaru Sundal / Green Moong Dal Sundal


Paasi Payaru Sundal is one of my favorite among sundal varieties...It's  a simple and healthy evening snack for kids too..To my surprise my boy likes this a lot..So it's one among the recipes I prepare often..Also for the festive season it's a good sundal recipe..Try it and enjoy..

Ingredients

Green Moong dal/
Paasi Payuaru
1/2 cup
Coconut slices4
Mustard1/2 tsp
Urad dal1/2 tsp
Curry leaves1sprig
Dry red chilli1 or 2
Oil1 tsp
saltas needed

Method

Soak Green moong dal for 3 to 4 hours..Take soaked green moong dal in a vessel and add required salt and water..Pressure cook it for 2 whistles and in simmer for 5 minutes..

In a pan,heart some oil and temper with mustard, urad dal, curry leaves, red chilli..Add the boiled moong dal  and saute for a minute..

Add shredded coconut and give a stir and then switch off the flame..
