Vegetable manchurian...I have tried it a few times by steaming the vegetables...But this time i tried by grating the veggies...This worked better and the shape of balls came nice...I used carrot, cabbage and cauliflower for making the manchurian balls...Beans, mashed potato,mashed green peas can also be added...This is a quick dish and also tastes great...Goes well with fried rice ...also with chapathi...

Cabbage | 1 big piece |
Cauliflower | 1/4 flower |
Rice flour | 2 tblsp |
Besan flour | 1 tblsp |
Corn flour | 1 tsp |
Salt | as needed |
Garlic | 3 or 4 pods |
Green chilli | 1 |
Soya sauce | 2 tsp |
Hot and sweet tomato sauce | 1 tblsp |
Pepper powder | 1/2 tsp |
Water | 1/2 cup |
Olive Oil | 1 1/2 tsp |
Oil | for frying |
Green Onion | for garnish |
Method
Grate the vegetables (carrot, cabbage and cauliflower i used)....Add rice flour, corn flour, besan flour and salt...
Mix well..Sprinkle some water if needed...Shape them as balls and fry them in oil till dark golden brown...
In a pan, heat some olive oil and add finely chopped garlic and slit green chilli...Then add soya sauce,hot and sweet tomato sauce, white vinegar and pepper powder....Add little salt for sauce...
Add little water and bring the sauce to boil...Add corn flour mixed in water and let the sauce thicken a bit...Finally add the fried balls to the sauce and sprinkle some green onion on top...
Goes well with fried rice and chappathi...
