Keerai Poriyal (Spinach Poriyal)/Side dish recipes

Keerai Poriyal is a side dish which everyone in my family likes...We get spinach, amaranthus,
gongura and murungai keerai(sometimes)....We make this when we have lots of keerai, since the volume reduces sooo much...It's a simple dish and also very healthy as u all know..I also make keerai sambar now a days...will post that soon...Till then try this and enjoy...

Spinach/Keerai1 bunch
Mustard1 tsp
Urad dal1 tsp
Cumin seeds1 tsp
Dry red chilli1
Curry leaves1 sprig
Saltto taste
Oil2 tsp

Heat oil in a wide kadai, add mustard, urad dal, cumin, dry red chilli and curry leaves...After they splutter, add the washed and chopped spinach leaves...

Saute till the volume get reduced...Water will ooze out from spinach...No need to add any water...Closer with a lid and keep the flame in simmer ...

Cook for 7 to 10 minutes until its cooked, stirring in between...After spinach gets cooked add the salt and coconut scraping to it and mix well...switch off the flame and keep in serving dish..
