Matar Paneer Kurma/ Side dish for chappathi

This matar paneer gravy is my favourite side dish for chappathis...It's very tasty and can be prepared in very less time...I always have frozen green peas and paneer in my freezer...If we can't go for shopping for a day or two and have no veggies at hand, I usually make this at that time...Give it a try and enjoy..

Ingredients

IngredientMeasurement
Green Peas/Pattani1/2 cup
Paneer1/2 cup
cinnamon1/2 inch
Cloves
Cardamom1
Ginger garlic paste1/2 tsp
Red onion1 small
Coconut1/8 cup
Cashew pieces1 tblsp
Kasakasa1 tsp
Green chilli1 or 2
Kasoori Methi1/2 tsp
Oil/ghee2 tsp

Method

Heat oil in a kadai...Add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom...After that add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste...Fry till onion become translucent and raw flavor of ginger garlic goes off..Make a paste out of coconut, cashew, kasakasa and green chilli...

After onion gets cooked, add the boiled green peas (i used frozen green peas) and fry for a minute...Then add the ground coconut paste..Add salt and let it boil...

Mix well and cook till the gravy thickens...Add the crushed kasoori methi to it...Finally add the paneer cubesand give it a boil..

Serve with hot chappathis and enjoy...
Wanna try these:
