Paneer Butter Masala/ Side dish for chappathi

Paneer Butter Masala is my favourite side dish for chappathi...I found this recipe easy to do than the other recipes i tried...U can find the original recipe here...Finally my hubby approved it as a good dish after my several tries...Hope u too will find it so...Try and enjoy...

Ingredients

IngredientMeasurement
Paneer
1/2 lb
Cinnamon sticks 2 inch

Butter1 tblsp
   Red onion
       1 medium
Kasoori Methi
1 pinch
Milk1/4 cup
Tomato1 medium
Sugar 1 tblsp
Ginger garlic paste1/2 tblsp
Turmeric powder1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1  tsp
Corriander powder2 tsp
Salt

To grind

IngredientMeasurement
Cashew1/8 cup
Milk2 tblsp
Method
Heat a pan with butter and add roughly chopped red onion to it and fry it till it become slightly golden brown...Chop a medium size tomato and put it in mixer...

Add the fried onion to the mixer and make it a fine paste....Heat butter in the same pan again(i used half butter and half oil) and temper with cinnamon, cardamom and cloves...

Add the ground paste and after a minute add the turmeric, redchilli powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste and salt and mix well....

Grind cashew with milk into a smooth paste...Fry the paste till raw smell is gone and moisture evaporates..

Add a pinch of kasoori methi and mix..Add the cashew paste and milk and cook for 5 minutes..Stir in between,so that it won't burn...

Add the sugar and cook till desired consistency is reached....Add the paneer cubes and give a boil and switch off...

Paneer butter masala is ready...Enjoy with hot rotis...

I didn't add cooking cream in this...If u want u can add...Instead i'm adding milk here...The taste will be equally good...We had it with chapathis...

Wanna try these:
