Ammini Kozhukattai is one of the spicy kozhukattais we prepare for Ganesh Chaturthi other than the Thengai Kozhukattai..It's very simple to prepare using the same dough as the modagam/Poorana Kozhukattai...It's a very tasty combo with any of the sweet kozhukattais..Do give a try and you will enjoy it for sure..

Moong dal | 1/2 tblsp |
Coconut shredded | 1 tblsp |
Musatrd | 1/2 tsp |
Urad dal | 1/2 tsp |
Curry leaves | 1 sprig |
Red chilli | 1 or 2 |
Oil | 1 tsp |
Salt | a pinch |
Method
Take rice flour in a wide bowl and add a pinch salt..Boil water...
Add hot boiling water to the flour and mix well..Add gingelly oil and mix well..Let it cool a bit and make small balls out of it...Steam it in greased idli plates for 10 minutes or until shiny..
Soak moong dal for 20 minutes..Heat a kadai with little oil and temper with mustard, urad dal, curry leaves, red chilli and the soaked moong dal..
Add the steamed balls to the kadai and mix..Add grated coconut and mix well..
Switch off the flame..Transfer to serving platter and enjoy..
