Pidi Kozhukattai


Pidi Kozhukattai is a dish which we prepare every year for the Ganesh Chaturthi  apart from the Poorana Kozhukattai( will post it soon)...It's a very simple and easy to prepare kozhukattai, which can be prepared in a jiffy..This year Ganesh Chaturthi is on september 17, and hope this easy recipe will be useful for everyone..

Ingredients

 Rice flour
1 cup
Jaggery1/2 cup
Coconut pieces 1  tblsp
Roasted channa dal
/Pottukadalai
 1  tblsp
Salta pinch

Method

Take rice flour and pinch salt in a wide bowl...Prepare jaggery syrup by melting jaggery in water just to dissolve it...Add the hot syrup to the rice flour and mix well..

To the dough add roasted channa dal(pottukadalai) and coconut cut as small pieces...Mix everything well..

Shape as pidi kozhukzttai as shown in picture and steam it in greased idli plates for 10 minutes..Take out and enjoy...
