Mutton Liver Fry / Eeral Varuval

Hi all..It's been a while I blogged...We were on a vacation earlier this month and I thought of resuming blogging after that..Sorry for the little long gap...Now I'm back with a very yummy recipe worthy for the gap..It's one of tastiest recipes I have ever eaten and many of our friends also like this recipe...This liver fry can be made as a  dry side dish or as a gravy if you want...Add little more onion and a tomato if you want as gravy...I have tried both ways and both are equally good ..I tried this recipe from here and we all loved it a lot..Do give a try and enjoy..

Mutton Liver1 lb
Cinnamon sticks 2 inch
cardamom 4
Saltas needed
Red onion 1 big
Ginger garlic paste1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 2 tsp
Garlic10 to 12 pods
Ginger 2 inch
Fennel seeds1 tsp
Pepper1 tsp
Shallot5 or 6
Coconut flakes
3 or 4
Green chillies 2 or 3

Clean liver well twice or thrice ..Take it in a pressure pan and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and ginger garlic paste...Add little salt and water and pressure cook for 1 or 2 whistles..

Heat a small pan with little oil and add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, fennel seeds, pepper corn, green chilli, ginger and garlic..After frying these a little bit add shallots and cconut slices..fry everything golden and let them cool a bit..

Heat oil in a wide pan and add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves..Add garlic and saute for a minute..Then add finely chopped onion and fry till it turn transparent..

Make a paste out of fried ingredients with little water..Add the cooked liver and ground paste in the pan..

Mix everything well and let it cook till raw flavors are gone and desired consistency is reached ..

Wanna try these:
