Arisi Kara sev / Rice sev



Usually sev is prepared in besan flour/kadalai maavu...I like this kind of arisi sev, which is available in our hometown...Rice flour gives lots of crispness to this sev...Pepper and jeera are added for spiciness and flavor...You can keep this airtight container for a week...Goes well with evening tea...Try this simple snack and enjoy...

Ingredients

Besan flour/kadalai maavu3/4 cup
Rice flour1/2 cup
Pepper1 tblsp
Jeera1/2 tblsp
Turmeric powdera pinch
Hing/Perungayama pinch
Oilfor frying
saltas needed
Method
In a vessel, take besan flour, rice flour,salt hing and turmeric....Coarsely ground the pepper and cumin...Heat the oil for frying...Take one spoon hot oil and pour in the flour mixture...Mix well and add required water and mix,so that a stiff dough is formed....

In the hot oil, press the dough in the form of a big murukku ...Fry well till the bubbles ceases...Turn if needed in between...Drain in paper towel...

Break it down into small size sev as needed...Store in airtight container...
