Segulu /Ragi Puttu with peanut

Segulu,we call this in kannada,is a traditional dish which is prepared on the night of sivarathiri..On the night of sivarathiri,we use to go to temple at the night time and worship..there this will be distributed as prasad...The flavour of the peanuts goes very well with the ragi...It's consistency will be
little bit crumbled and irregular mixing is the key here...Little pieces of broken peanuts mixed with puttu will taste divine...We can prepare this very quickly with few ingredients...It's a good evening snack for kids...Try this healthy recipe and enjoy...

Ragi Flour1 cup
Jaggery1/2 cup
Roasted Peanut1/4 cup
Roasted Sesame seeds1 tsp
Salta pinch

Take ragi flour in a vessel, add salt...Sprinkle luke warm water little by little and combine till flour becomes crumbly...It should be darker than the original raw flour could be seen...Let it stand for 5 minutes...

Roast the peanuts and remove the skin...Roast the sesame seeds till they splutter...Break down jaggery into small pieces...

Prepare puttu using the puttu kuzhal or in idly vessel...Crumble the puttu and add the peanuts, sesame seeds and jaggery to it..

Mix and put it in a mixie jar and give little pulses for 5 minutes so that everything combines well...Peanuts should be half broken..They shouldn't become like powder...

I'm sending this recipe to the spice trail challenge:temple food
