Annasi Paal Kari / Pineapple Coconut milk Kari

Annasi Paal Kari is a recent addition to our diet... we are getting lots of fruits in market now...,In order to use them up before it becomes overripe, I made this as side dish for rice...Those who like Raw Mango Pachadi, will definitely like this one too..This kari also has sweet, sour and hot taste..I have already posted a Pineapple Subji for chapathi...Do give a try if you are bored of the usual side dishes and  hope you like this..

 1/2 small
Dry Red chilli
Pepper1/2 tsp
Jeera/Cumin1/2 tsp
Coriander seeds1/2 tsp
Coconut milk
1 cup
Saltto taste
Oil1 tsp
Mustard1/2 tsp
Urad dal1/2 tsp
Curry leaves1 sprig

Cut pineapple into small bite size chunks...Cook the pineapple in thin coconut milk( second milk) with a pinch of salt...Make a coarse  powder out of dry red chillies, pepper, cumin seeds and coriander seeds...

When the pineapple is half cooked add the powder to it and mix well..Let it cook till the pineapple become soft and mushy..

Finally add the thick coconut milk (first milk) and let it come to a boil and thicken a bit...Temper with mustard, urad dal and curry leaves and add on top..

Wanna try these:
