Orange Sesame Noodles


Orange Sesame Noodles..one of the things which I prepare if I have to cook just for me and my boy..We both like it a lot, because of it's simplicity and taste...slightly sweet with brown sugar and fresh and tangy with the orange flavor..with simple ingredients, it taste heavenly...The  sauce can be made ahead and used for noodles, pasta or making orange chicken...Do try and you too will like it for sure..

Ingredients

Orange juice
3/4 cup
Vinegar1/8 cup
Soy sauce2 tblsp
Orange zest1 tblsp
Red chilli flakes
1/4 tsp
Brown sugar1/8 cup
Garlic2 pods minced
Corn starch1 tsp
Roasted Sesame
Seeds
1 tsp
Green onion2 stalks
Saltto taste
Sesame oil2 tblsp

Method

Cook noodles according to packet instructions(with salt and little oil)..Heat sesame oil in a pan and add crushed garlic..

After garlic becomes slightly fried, add soy sauce, rice vinegar and orange juice..Zest the orange skin..

Add orange zest, red chili flakes,brown sugar and salt...Let it come to boil for 5 minutes..Add corn starch dissolved in little water and thicken the sauce...This sauce can be prepared and stored ahead in refrigerator too..

Add required sauce to the cooked noodles and mix well...Add chopped green onion and mix..

Add roasted sesame seeds and mix well...Transfer to serving dish and enjoy..Garnish with little more orange zest and roasted sesme seeds if desired..
