Aloo paneer gravy is a very satisfying and filling gravy...Not for the ones who are dieting...But once in a while,we have to leisure our rules too...Kids will like the look of this dish...Add bit more brown sugar if you want(for your kids)...Goes well with chapathis, naan and pulavs...Try this deliciousness and enjoy...
Ingredients

Potato | 3 or 4 small |
Paneer grated | 1/2 cup |
Corn flour | 2 tsp |
Red onion | 1 medium |
Tomato | 1 large |
Cashew pieces | 1 tblsp |
Cinnamon | 1 inch |
Cardamom | 1 |
Cloves | 2 |
Red chilli powder | 1 tsp |
Coriander powder | 1 tsp |
Milk | 1/8 cup |
Saffron | 2 pinch |
Kasoori methi | 1 pinch |
Cilantro | for garnish |
Jaggery/brown sugar | 2 pinch |
Salt | as needed |
Grate paneer and add color (i used saffron soaked in milk)...Shape it as small smooth balls...
Boil /Pressure cook potatoes and add salt and corn flour...Mash well and shape as discs...Place paneer balls inside and cover all over and form as smooth balls...
Fry the balls in oil till crisp and drain in paper towel...
Heat butter/oil in a pan and saute onion till transparent...Chop tomatoes and take it in a mixer...
Add onion to it and grind as smooth paste,,,In the same pan, heat oil and temper with cinnamon,cloves and cardamom...
Add the paste to it and add ginger garlic paste,red chilli powder and coriander powder...Fry well till oil oozes and add crushed kasoori methi....Mix well...Add salt and jaggery too...
Grind cashew with little milk,,,Add it to the garavy and little water and let it come to boil...
Add the fried balls to the gravy half sliced....Garnish with chopped cilantro...
Very innovative idea using potato and paneer and kids will love it!!
