Veg Salna With Soy Chunks


Vegetarian Salna with mix veggies is a yummy treat to vegetarians and can be prepared with or without soya chunks..This goes well with parottas and chapathis..Can also be used to make veg Kothu Parota..will post the recipe soon..Usually it's a bit runny, but I made it slight thicker for chapathis..Do give  a try and enjoy..

Ingredients

Soy chunks1/4 cup
Cumin Sedds1 tsp
Coriander seeds1 tsp
Fennel seeds1 tsp
Cinnamon stick1 inch
Dry red chillies3
 Greenchilli1
Red onion1 medium
Ginger garlic paste1 tsp
Poppy seeds1/2 tsp
cashew3 or 4
Cardamon1
Cloves2
Turmeric powder1 tsp
Tomato1 small
Coconut slices1/4 cup
Lemon juice1 tsp
Saltas needed


Method

Heat few drops of oil in a pan and roast cumin, fennel, coriander seeds, one inch cinnamon stick and dry red chillies...Remove and let it cool...
                            
In the same pan, again heat some oil and fry chopped onion,green chilli, ginger garlic paste, poppy seeds and cashews...Add coconut and grind as smooth paste...

In a pressure pan, heat some oil and temper with cinnamon,cardamom, clove, fennel seeds and curry leaves...Add chopped veggies and saute..

Then add the ground paste  and mix well...Soak soy chunks in hot water..

Fry till oil seperates on sides and add the soy chunks..add turmeric powder and salt..

Add required water and pressure cook for 1 whistle or close with lid lid till veggies become soft..Pour some lemon juice on top and garnish with chopped cilantro....
