Bruschetta with tomato and jalapeno



Bruschetta is a italian dish made with baguette bread....The toppings can be varied as per our wish...Basically toasting the bread with olive oil and rubbing with garlic should be done...It's a fantastic appetizer for the parties...We can set everything beforehand and just before serving we can broil  and serve hot....serves as good after school snack for kids too...easy to prepare and our guests liked it a lot...Do try and enjoy this yummy appetizer/ snack...

Ingredients

Baguette bread
Tomato1/2 medium
Jalapeno1/2 small
cilantro chopped1 tsp
Basil chopped1 tsp
Mayo/mayonnaise1/3 cup
Olive oil2 tsp
Garlic 1 pod
Cheese1/4 cup

Method


Chop tomato and jalapeno finely...add  mayo and chopped cilantro and basil...

Mix well...Keep aside...Cut baguettes as 1 inch circles at an angle...Spray some olive oil and broil it for 1 minute on each side...Cut a garlic pod as half and rub it upon the toasted circles...

Top them with a spoonful of mayo mixture...Sprinkle little cheese on top...Broil the pieces for 3 to 4 minutes or until cheese melts and becomes golden brown on top....Serve hot...
