Green Chicken Gravy

Green chicken gravy is one of my recent trial in my kitchen, which is very aromatic and delicious...I have prepared it a few times now and everytime it came out nice...Once the marination part is done, there is very less work..So it will be helpful while cooking many dishes for guests/ party...Also there will not be any compromise in taste...I served it with parotas...goes well with chapathis, naan and pulavs too...Do try and enjoy...

1/2 lb
1 cup
Ginger garlic paste
2 tsp
Saltas needed
    1 inch
 1 ro 2
Coriander seeds1/2 tsp
Pepper corns2
cumin seeds
1/2 tsp
Onion1 medium
Cashew nuts2 tsp
Cilantro 1/2 cup
mint leaves1/2 cup
Green chilli2
Turmeric powder1/4 tsp
Oil/butter1 tblsp

Coarsely ground cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and pepper corns...

Heat little oil in a small kadai and saute the sliced onion till translucent..let it cool a bit..

Soak few cashews in little water..In a mixer, take cilantro and mint leaves..

Add the sauteed onions, soaked cashew and green chillies...Make a fine paste out of all..Clean the chicken and add yogurt/curd, salt, ginger garlic paste...

To the chicken add the paste and let it marinate atl east for half an hour...Heat a pressure pan and add butter/oil to it..(since I cooked for guests, I added butter..)

Add the marinated chicken to it...Add turmeric powder and salt..cook for 5 minutes..

Add the garam masala powder we ground at first..Add required water...

Add yogurt and pressure cook for 2 whistles and simmer for 5 minutes....You can add cooking cream instead of yogurt too at last...
