Chicken dishes are my favourite than mutton...This chicken curry is my MIL's recipe...It goes well with everything...rice,biryani,idli,dosa,poori,chappathi etc...So it's a easy fix for me on sundays...Mint brings nice fresh aroma in this dish...and everyone in our family likes this chicken curry...
Ingredients

Mint leaves | 1/4 cup |
Tomato | 1 medium |
Red onion | 1 big (paste) |
Ginger garlic paste | 1 tblsp |
Turmeric powder | 1 tsp |
Red chilli powder | 1 1/2 tblsp |
Corriander powder | 2 tblsp |
To grind

Kasakasa | 1 tblsp |

Heat a pressure pan with oil and temper with cinnamon,cloves and cardamom....Then add the curry leaves and green chillies....Fry for a minute...
Add the mint, onion paste , ginger garlic paste and salt and fry until oil separates from sides...
Then add the cleaned chicken pieces and turmeric powder,chilli powder,coriander powder and mutton masala powder...Mix well and fry for 5 minutes with partially closing the lid...
Now add the chopped tomato and fry until it become mushy and combined...
Then add the ground coconut paste and the required water and bring it to a boil...
Then close the lid and pressure cook for 3 whistles and in low flame for 5 minutes...Let the gas release by itself,and then open the lid...check salt and add if needed...
Enjoy with hot idlis or dosas...goes well with rice too...
