Milagu kozhi varuval/ Chicken pepper fry

Milagu kozhi varuval ...I saw this recipe in a cookbook which my mom gave me...It can be prepared in some 10 to 15 minutes...and the process seemed easier to me...I tried it and it's very nice...We like it a little bit spicier side, but u can reduce the spices if u want...Goes well with any mild pulav and very nice with rasam sadham or curd rice...

Ingredients

IngredientMeasurement
chicken1/2 lb
Ginger garlic paste1 tblsp
 Red chilli powder1/2 tblsp
Red onion1 medium
Turmeric powder1/2 tsp
Pepper powder(fresh ground)2 tsp
Fennel seeds1 tsp
oil1 tblsp
Saltto taste

Method

Put the cleaned chicken pieces in a pressure cooker and add 1/2 tblsp red chilli powder and 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste...Mix well and pressure cook for 1 whistle...Do not add oil or water...

In a pan heat oil and add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste and fry till onion turns transparent...Add the pepper, fennel seeds and turmeric...

Fry till onion turns a little golden brown...Open the pressure cooker, the chicken will be half cooked...

Add the chicken with water oozed out of chicken to the pan and mix...Cover and cook for 5 minutes...

Stir in between and keep flame in medium.....Fry it till it becomes dry...

If u want little gravy, u can stop little bit earlier too...But when it becomes dry, then only it will get roasted well.....
