Simple Potato Poriyal /Side dish recipes




Potato is a very versatile veggie...also a very tasty one...This dish we do with any non spicy kuzhambu like dhal or mor kuzhambu....It's a simple and quick dish...can be done as a quick extra dish when guests are coming over...and most people will like it....


Ingredients

Potato3 medium sized
Sambar Powder1 tblsp
Shallots5 or6
Saltto taste


To Temper

Mustard Seed1/2 tsp
Urad dal1/2 tsp
Curry leaves1sprig
oil1 1/2 tsp

Method
 Pressure cook the potatoes ....Peel the skin off and cut with a knife roughly....

Take a pan and heat with oil and then temper with mustard,urad dal and curry leaves...Then add the chopped shallots and fry till it become transparent...


Add the cubed boiled potatoes and sambar powder...Add required salt and fry till the raw flavour of sambar powder goes off...
